In May 2020 a team of researchers were commissioned to conduct a rapid response study to examine tobacco use and tobacco control during Covid-19. In May 2020 a team of researchers from the University of Edinburgh, in collaboration with colleagues from six low and middle income countries (Bangladesh, India, Ghana, Uganda, Ethiopia, and Pakistan) were commissioned to conduct a rapid response study to examine tobacco use and tobacco control during Covid-19. The study aimed to produce country-specific Covid-19 and tobacco policy briefings to support policy and practice to address tobacco use during and beyond the Covid-19 pandemic.
